17/10/2026 — went to a protest in toulouse with a few friends. it was terrifying because crs (france's riot police officers) were throwing a lot of tear gas grenades for little to no reason... at some point, they chose to stop the procession before it had reached the end of the legal and planned track. i was there, they just charged at us from behind, trying to trap us on a bridge. hopefully, my friends and i were able to escape and leave the protest. all along the way back home, we heard explosions and the sky had tear gas and fire smoke in it. felt like war had broken out.

15/10/2026 — went to a conference about "circular economy" and whose question was "do we have the resources to change". it was extremely interesting because it looked the issue of climate change with the concern of material resources in mind. taking not only the carbon footprint but also the "matter footprint" into account is really important when one performs some action that requires something to be built. this also applies to communities and governments; which also need to consider the impact of their activites and plans with respect to their matter footprint.

29/09/2026 — saw a circumzenithal arc in the sky today :))

21/09/2026 — watched the video i’m so bad at billiards that i ended up in the hyperbolic plane by the excellent 2swap. it is a feast for the eyes, i love how they always find fascinating video themes with insane rendering potential while introducing very interesting math concepts.

14/09/2026 — started a hardcore minecraft game in single-biome mode with the biome being "snowy slopes", meaning no trees... it's really hard to play but i really like the difficulty caused by the scarcity of resources, it adds a bit of challenge :)

10/09/2026 — it's 2am and i my brain forced me to try a new image experiment (exp6). it's a kind of escape-time fractal but with integer coordinates and formulas that use gcds. i'm tired but it looks nice so i'm happy :)

30/08/2026 — watched the video could a global dictatorship last forever? by rational animations and thought it was really interesting and well animated. it is about how present technology and especially ai might allow for an inescapable global totalitarianism.

10/05/2026 — took photos during a supercellular thunderstorm passing over the city of toulouse. it featured an arcus cloud which passed over the south-east of the city around 6 pm. it led to one of the most amazing sunsets i've ever seen !
